Halo Infinite is a first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the sixth main entry in the Halo series and the sequel to Halo 5: Guardians. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in November 2021.
In Halo Infinite, players assume the role of Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier, as he battles against the alien covenant and the rogue artificial intelligence Cortana. The game features a single-player campaign and multiplayer modes.
The campaign follows Master Chief as he crashes on a mysterious planet and must find a way to defeat the alien threat and uncover the truth behind the mysterious connection between the planet and the Halos, ancient superweapons created by the Forerunners to destroy all sentient life in the galaxy.
The multiplayer mode, called Infinity Multiplayer, features a variety of maps and game modes, including traditional deathmatch and objective-based modes. Players can also customize their load-outs and abilities using the new progression system.
Halo Infinite has received positive reviews for its gameplay, graphics, and storytelling. It has been praised for its return to the series' roots and for its technical improvements over previous entries in the series.
